We can barely look at the news lately… Terrorism, violence, and the refugee crisis dominates the headlines. The situation can leave us feeling helpless. But we have good news because there are organizations and leaders out there on the front lines providing critical relief, hope and care.
At IF:Gathering, our desire is not to just talk about the problem on social media, but we want to be women that come together to make a tangible impact on the world for God’s glory and for the good of others, especially for those that God calls His beloved and those in need. This Giving Tuesday, we want to unify and take aim at the worst refugee crisis since WWII.
Our friends Christine Caine & Bianca Olthoff are an important part of A21, a global anti-human trafficking organization, and they have created a way for women to care for these refuges in crisis. We want to lock arms with them this #GivingTuesday to raise $25,000 for a Freedom Container so that Syrian refugees receive critical care that they so desperately need.
A21 has an aid site in Samos, Greece. Why is this critical? Over 81% of refugees enter Europe through Greece. This year alone, over 83,000 Syrian refugees have already crossed through Samos.
Imagine: When refugees arrive on the island, they have already endured dangerous journeys across sea, land, and border crossings. They are exhausted, dehydrated, and vulnerable.
A21 has created Freedom Containers to provide much needed relief, hope and care. The containers contain 10 clean water taps, 6 showers, a hot water broiler, solar power, mirrors, and drying racks for clothing.
What is Your Part?
We have set a goal of raising $25,000 by the end of #GivingTuesday to provide a Freedom Container for the men, women, and children refugees crossing fleeing from Syria. Will you consider giving what you can to help bring the necessary aid?
Please consider doing you part and together we can rally to blow away to not just raise $25,000 but to possibly blow away A21 & the refugees. We believe it’s possible because of YOU!
100% of the funds go directly towards A21 & establishing a new Freedom Container in Samos, Greece.
