“Perseverance must be a consistent companion if we are going to engage with God’s heart for justice for more than just a conference, a moment, or a social bandwagon movement.” –The Justice Calling

We are so grateful for your overwhelming and passionate response to seek justice and bring an end to slavery!

God’s heart for justice is central to our work at IJM and it’s only through his strength that we can hope to end slavery. As our friends in the fight to end slavery, we’re excited to invite you to engage further with our work by reading The Justice Calling, authored by Bethany Hoang and Kristen Johnson. This book will equip you and your church community with a solid understanding of God’s heart for justice and what that means for your daily life. Illustrated by their own life experiences as they worked to combat human trafficking, the authors have credibly established God’s character and strength as he sustains us in practical ways in the work of justice. Emerging through their stories is a rich theological understanding of God’s heart for justice. Bethany and Kristen provide a clear picture that justice is central to God’s salvation plan and how it is woven throughout the Bible.

Publishers Weekly has praised The Justice Calling for striking the balance between “erudite scholarship” and “readable text.” We love how the authors have used their experiences and knowledge to bring a thorough understanding of God’s justice to the practical level. They also offer helpful practices that will better equip and encourage us to persevere in the face of injustice with joy and a focus on Christ.

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:58
