2015 Spring Launch Trunk Show with Jamie Ivey

If you are a part of the IF:Gathering community, you’ve most likely seen us wearing the beautiful accessories from our friends at Noonday Collection. We love partnering with Noonday to give women even more opportunities to make an impact!

Not only does Noonday empower women in the US – many of whom are within our IF community – we have seen firsthand how the social business is also changing lives around the world. Last summer, Jennie journeyed to Rwanda to meet Artisans who partner with Noonday and create some of their unique accessories.

For this year’s IF:Gathering, Noonday created a gorgeous new credential that is being made by once vulnerable women in Asia who now have dignified jobs.

We are excited to do more together, so we invited Noonday Collection Founder Jessica Honegger to tell us more about how IF:Locals can get connected to a Noonday Collection in their community – and to interview Erin, an inspiring woman who is both a Noonday Ambassador and an IF:Local Leader.

Jessica Honegger:

I remember when Jennie shared this “crazy idea” called IF with me just a few years ago. It’s been a joy to watch it unfold and catch fire!

Noonday Collection has partnered with IF: Gathering for the past two years. We love how IF is empowering and unleashing women to make a difference in their communities and around the world. Noonday Collection shares this passion for empowering women – and there is a natural connection between our communities!

Not only is Noonday involved at the IF:Gathering in Austin, hundreds of Noonday Ambassadors are involved in IF:Locals across the country. We know more than a few Ambassadors who also serve as IF:Local Leaders.

Today I want to introduce you to Erin Rigsby from Temple, Texas. Erin is a IF:Local Leader and a Noonday Ambassador. She is making an incredible impact in her community as she uses every part of her life to encourage women.

I also want to invite you to have a Noonday Collection Ambassador at your IF:Local in February! Read on for all the details.

Erin, we’d love for you to tell us: what do you love about Noonday Collection and IF:Gathering?

I love seeing Noonday Collection and IF:Gathering come together and encourage women to collaborate, share ideas and cheer each other on.

IF focuses on the discipleship, mentoring and training women to become influencers in the world. Noonday focuses on equipping and unleashing women to become entrepreneurs who sell jewelry handmade by artisans around the world. As Ambassadors style their friends, they share artisans’ stories – and give women in their community a way to use their purchasing power for good. Noonday then partners with Artisans, unleashing them and their God-given potential.

Beautifully said! How do you see IF and Noonday’s vision working together?

IF and Noonday have a similar vision of empowering women to become influencers, but do this in different ways! Together we are linking arms to be a visual display of what it looks like for women to love one another and cheer each other on but to also use the opportunities we have been given to make a difference in the world.

How have you seen this need for empowerment in your community?

I think some women lack self-confidence. They need opportunities to encourage one another and to become who they were created to be. Both IF and Noonday create space for conversation, creativity and discipleship within my community. It has been a beautiful weaving in my own life with all the things that I desire for women in my community.

I think this partnership with IF is a great opportunity for IF:Local leaders and their local Noonday Ambassadors to come together and create spaces for women to explore God’s plan for their lives.

Why should IF:Local Leaders partner with their local Noonday Ambassador?

Inviting a Noonday Ambassador to be a part of your IF:Local gathering, whether it’s in your home, church or city, is a wonderful opportunity to cheer one another on! The Ambassador will bring gorgeous Noonday jewelry and accessories to display – but she’s not there just to sell something.

Having an Ambassador at your gathering will give women another way to respond to what God teaches them through IF this year. By shopping, they can create a marketplace for Artisans around the world. By hosting a Trunk Show, they can influence women in their community to make an even bigger impact together.

In showcasing the Noonday pieces, the Ambassador brings a visual representation to what it looks like for us to truly come alongside one another and recognize the gifts that we’ve been given, whether through art, or motherhood, or teaching or entrepreneurship. I believe that we are created for community – and that we are truly better together!

If you want to have a Noonday Ambassador at your IF:Local and you’re not already friends, I want to encourage you to grab coffee and get to know each other. Sharing stories is so great! You will be encouraged and sharpened as you recognize you are there for the same reason and purpose, even though what you’re doing may look different!

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves Erin! Thank you for sharing your heart with us and love your vision of partnership and what it looks like.
