Why is this important that you attend the IF:Local Leader Gathering?
It is important to me that I attend the IF:Local Leader Gathering, so I may, first and foremost, by the Holy Spirit’s leading and in fear and nervousness, not really knowing where it will lead me, take a step of faith. I want to take a step in obeying God’s command in becoming a disciple for Christ, and through God’s guidance, making more disciples through Him. Secondly, it important that I attend the IF:Local Leader Gathering to become more acquainted with, to instill, and to practice leadership skills that will help me to be a better leader in my local church – Wildwood Baptist Church. To be honest, I am not one who will eagerly volunteer to take a leadership role or initiate conversation in a group, I am quite shy, to be honest, but I know, with the position as our church’s secretary, a leadership role in itself, I need to exhibit skills that enable me to be a better communicator and servant-leader to the members of Wildwood Baptist Church and to our community at large. I would like to learn skills through your IF:Local Leader Gathering that exemplify the qualities all of us Christians should possess and practice – the fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Then, while I am acquiring and living out these skills through the work in my local church, they will, in turn, outflow in growing me as a leader in my community in showing the love and compassion of God to lead people to Jesus Christ.

What are your dreams for your local context?
My prayer, my dream is to see God move in and through me and the women of Wildwood Baptist Church. I would like to, through the Holy Spirit’s leading, gather women, young and young at heart, in order to build a strong women’s ministry that is so desperately needed in our church. I would like to see us come together in ways that I have not seen before. My heart aches for fellowship beyond meeting once a week for Sunday Bible Study. By God’s leading, I would like to see myself, one who is very shy and not much on talking in front of others, fill a need in the church by having a love for gathering together the ladies of Wildwood Baptist Church to openly and vulnerably, beginning with myself, share the stories God is writing out in our lives. With this such connecting of souls in our church, we can spread this love out in to our community where there are many souls who need to connect with a God who loved them so much that He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for their sins.
