IF:Unleash Update
We asked Beatrice and Scovia to give us some updates on a few specific areas of their lives and wanted to share them with you!
Tuyisenge Beatrice
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Beatrice has been volunteering with Africa New Life Ministries. She helps them fle documents and works with the sponsored children on Saturdays. While the staff meets with the children one-on-one, her responsibility is to play with the other children and keep them occupied so that they are not disruptive. She also helps distribute scholastc materials to the sponsored children when they visit the Dream Center. Volunteering with Africa New Life in this way, has taught her the importance of loving children even when they have bad behavior and how we can help them make beter choices.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Beatrice has learned many new things from the leadership development program. Something that has had a major impact on her are the Six Areas That We Need to Grow in Leadership: Choice of Word, Your Conversation, Charity, Attitude, Faith, and Purity.
FAMILY
Her family is doing fairly well for the most part. A big praise is that her twin sister received a government scholarship and is now enrolled in university. God also provided her brother with a small job and the family is very thankful for that.
PRAYER
She asks for prayers for her father, who is ill, and for her brother, that God would continue to provide for him and allow him to continue his education.
Mukashyaka Scovia
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Scovia has been volunteering with Africa New Life Ministries. She helps the staff by fling documents and helping young children write letters to their sponsors. These tasks are teaching her to work in a team, manage her time, and hard work ethic.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT She is also learning a variety of new things through the leadership development training including, leadership styles, creativity and innovation, how to set strong goals, build good character, improving communication techniques, developing a vision for her personal mission.
FAMILY
Scovia thanks God every day that her family is doing well. Her sisters and brothers all received good grades this last year. One of her sisters passed her natonal exams and the government was able to assign her to a good school for the next grade level. Scovia is also thankful that all of her family, including her parents, are saved and all attend church.
PRAYER
She asks for continued prayers for her to be successful in her studies so she can fulfill her dreams. She would also like to say “thank you very much and may God bless you for the love you’ve shown us.”
