Week 6 Reflection

Watch Week Six Day Five

Begin by rereading Ephesians chapter 6. Does anything new stand out to you? What truths are reinforced? What truths do you need more faith to believe? What truths do you need to put into practice today?

Wholeheartedly

In Ephesians 6:1–9, we learned about submission as it pertains to a few household relationships. We saw that, again, submission originates as a heart attitude of reverence for Christ and leads to wholehearted service. Evaluate where you are serving and using your God-given gifts. Are you wholeheartedly serving, giving testimony to the gift Giver?

Standing Firm

In Ephesians 6:10–13, Paul told us about the spiritual battle we are engaged in. We learned that we can not only be strengthened by the Lord, but also by His resources, and we were told to stand firm. What ground is God asking you to stand on and defend for Him? Are you willing?

The Armor of God

In Ephesians 6:14–18, we read through the full list of God’s armor and envisioned physically putting it on every morning. We made note that the rst article mentioned is the belt of truth, which holds all the other garments in place, giving freedom as we move about our lives. In this section we also learned that prayer causes alertness and alertness keeps us in prayer. What is a practical step you could take to incorporate more prayer into your walk?

Prayer + Faith

In Ephesians 6:19–24, we ended the letter challenged by Paul’s request for prayer for more faith to boldly proclaim Christ and the mystery of the gospel. We learned that faith is the opposite of fear, and that God’s great grace is at the beginning and at the end, able to change everything in between. How does God’s grace change your view of yourself? Of those around you?

If grace really changes everything, then let it change everything.
