Not only did God create the earth, animals, and mankind, but He also created the heavens and the unseen, which is the spiritual realm. Most of us are familiar with the concept of heaven, but what about the spiritual realm? What is the spiritual realm? Heaven is an actual place where the presence of God resides. The spiritual realm includes angels and other types of heavenly beings. Nehemiah 9:6 says, “You are the LORD, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.” In this verse, Ezra declares that God made the heavens, along with their hosts who worship Him. Imagine the glorious sight: the hosts of heaven, the angels all worshiping the God of the universe.

The Unseen Good
What is the unseen good? As we mentioned earlier, the unseen is the spiritual realm and the unseen good consists of angels. What is an angel? What do angels do? Angels are spiritual beings created by God to do His work. The Scriptures reveal their characteristics.
In Matthew 28:5, the angel speaks with intelligence as it tells the women at Jesus’ tomb to not be afraid, since the angel knew whom they were seeking: Jesus who was crucified. Angels know right from wrong as seen in Jude 6, which mentions that there are angels in eternal chains because they did not stay within their own position of authority and left their proper dwelling place. Since angels are spiritual beings, humans cannot see them unless God allows us to see them. In Luke 2, an angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds proclaiming Christ’s birth. Not only do angels worship God, but they also protect us. Psalm 91:11 says, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Why are you thankful for God’s angels today?
The Unseen Evil
What is the unseen evil? The unseen evil is considered to be Satan and his demons. Who is Satan? Satan is the leader of the demons. In Hebrew, the name Satan means arch enemy. Satan is mentioned throughout Scripture. When Jesus is tempted by Satan in Matthew 4:10, Jesus speaks to Satan and says, “Be gone Satan!” The Bible refers to Satan as the serpent, the prince of the power of the air, the evil one, and the ruler of this world. What is a demon and what do they do? Demons were good angels who have gone bad. They turned evil by sinning against God. As 2 Peter 2:4 and Jude 6 mention, demons sinned against God by rebelling against their position. Even though Satan is the evil one, Jesus has defeated Satan and His demons through His death and resurrection.

I think that subconsciously I know at times where there have been close calls I think thank you Lord for protecting me. Was that my guardian angel watching over me?
When I hear spiritual realm the 1st thing that comes to mind is there is fighting going there in the spiritual realm. This where Gabriel the Arch angle is fighting the spiritual battles taking place. I don’t remember where I have heard this or even read this.
Honestly most times I really don’t think about it. There has been a time or two that I ask the question what exactly is taking place why are they fighting? Then I remember that Satan wants to take as many people with him as he can but he knows Jesus has already defeated him with his victory on the cross so why does satan care or bother at this point? The angles are fighting for us in the spiritual realm. To know this makes me feel blessed that they would fight for me.
Sometimes there is an open line of communication. How many times has a person happened to have somewhere they hadn’t intended to be at just the right time that was a life saving situation to another person.
