Uncommon Sense
We all want wisdom, but what does that look like?
Uncommon Sense is a study that, through the book of Proverbs, builds a practical framework around what Jesus heralded as the greatest commandment:
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31
The fact that Jesus coupled and exalted these two commands affirms the fact that wisdom is knowledge applied to life.
This study helps readers to harness Godly wisdom, not merely for head knowledge, but also for Godly living. Uncommon Sense makes the wealth of short sayings, contrasts, and metaphors found in Proverbs more accessible and applicable by dividing them according to the Greatest Commandment (heart, soul, mind, strength, love of neighbor). The study also begins with a week of background and introduction to Proverbs.
