Our Newest IF:Equip Study – I AM

Friends,

We are just 31 days away from IF:Gathering 2016.

The world around us feels like it is crumbling and almost nothing seems certain, until we look to Jesus and see that our hope is very clear and sure. Jesus is not only our salvation, He is the example of what it means to live in the fullness of grace and truth.

But in order to know how to live like Jesus, we need to know who He is. As we unite for IF:Gathering 2016 to explore the beautiful reality of Christ’s life, we want to take the next four weeks to study who Jesus is.

We see in the gospel of John that Jesus uses several “I Am” statements to describe himself. These statements communicate defining qualities and as we look at each one, a word seems to surface in most of these passages: Life.

Yes, Jesus gives us life in the physical sense, but He is also the source of life in the spiritual, eternal sense. Life is more than just being alive with a beating heart. This life that Jesus offers is so real that to lack it, even when living on earth, is to not truly live.
