IF:Gathering 2023

Let's Watch God Move

We desperately want to stay faithful in these times, but we know we can’t muster up the faith all on our own. IF:2023 matters to us, because for two days we get to gather and remind each other that God is who we need. God is who will provide. We gather for two days of worship, with our Bibles, and we ask God to move. We want you to gather your people in your home, in your local church, and on your college campus as we follow God together!

You might not find yourself in an AA meeting, or struggling with hard drugs and alcohol, but a lot of us have found more “acceptable” ways to cope with stress, pressure, or uncomfortable emotions. Maybe it’s likes on Instagram, a few glasses of wine at the end of the day, or gossiping with your friends. While our culture may find them acceptable, it can mean a slow drift away from holiness and faithfulness. Join Cheryl Luke, as we explore how these little habits and ways of coping actually can keep us from a deeper relationship with Jesus and the way God built us to live.

What if the trials, adversity, and stress we face don’t have to break us? Rebekah Lyons believes we can actually become more resilient people by not choosing to move past the pain as quickly as possible, but embracing it. Join Rebekah and discover a way to build your own resilient life, encounter the God who offers you a peace beyond understanding, a hope beyond today, and a strength and joy you never even knew you had.

What does it take to have a healthy marriage? How do you navigate it all in the midst of the craziness and brokenness of life? Join Pastors Earl and Oneka McClellan as they dive into some of the most important principles and practices of marriage to help you thrive.

Sharing your faith with friends and family can often feel scary, intimidating, and super awkward. It turns out, you can naturally share God’s love in your everyday life. Hosanna Wong helps us embrace our own story as a way to naturally share our faith, discover effective ways to fight for loved ones who are in a tough place, and show others how valuable they are to God.

The story of reconciliation in Rwanda is a moving picture of the power of God at work. In a world that’s more divided than ever, there’s so much to learn from this story. Join us as Jamie Ivey sits down with Dr. Charles Mugisha to uncover his experience post-genocide in Rwanda and what we can take away from it.

The Bible says we can have peace beyond all understanding, but most of us would say our world, and our own lives, aren’t filled with peace. Our minds run rampant everyday with fears and anxieties. As a missionary, wife, and mom of fifteen, Katie Davis Majors, author of Safe All Along, offers reflections and stories about her personal journey of living a surrendered trust. How can we make choices to experience the peace Jesus promised us? Katie shows us how we can accept God’s promise, trusting that in Him we are safe all along.

We all want to give the best of ourselves to others. But what happens when others take advantage and get the best of us? How do you care for family, friends, and co-workers without letting your own needs get pushed to the back-burner? Join Dr. Alison Cook, author of The Best of You, as she helps us break free from painful patterns, mend our past, and discover our true self in God.

The Bible can feel incredibly intimidating and overwhelming. So many authors, books, genres, and historical events all packed into a narrative that spans over thousands of years. But it’s actually all one story—the story of God coming to get His people back. Join Joel Muddamalle, as we explore the story of the Bible, how it informs our view of God, ourselves, and how we interact with Scripture.
